Rake City’s own, Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman is garnering news for his efforts in supporting and creating ways to benefit children with autism and Down syndrome.

In his native Albuquerque, Bregman, along with Rake City founder Jared Koutnik and professional hitting coach Jason Columbus, had their first event for AB for AUDS, on Jan. 15, partnering with the Holmans Foundation for Autism and the APS Education Foundation to donate four iPads and protective cases to autistic students at Petroglyph Elementary School.

For more on AB for AUDS and their kickoff event in Albuquerque, Kim Burgess of the Albuquerque Journal covered the evening in her story: Alex Bregman: ‘I want to make an impact’.

In recent months, MLB.com, with Bregman goes to bat for autism at NY event and LSUSports.net’s article: Alex Bregman Promotes Autism Awareness, have also spotlighted the efforts of Bregman and the forming of AB for AUDS.
